Obituary
Paula Diann Johnson Morris, 81, of Knoxville (Karns) TN passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 surrounded by her children and loving family.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, James Melvin Johnson & Julia Easter Alder Johnson of Kingsport TN and her beloved husband of 44 years, Gary Douglas Morris. Also by her sisters, Elaine Johnson Watson (Joe) & Brenda Johnson Peters (Roger).
She is survived by her brother, James Melvin Johnson II (Barbara) of Powell, TN, her three children, Diann Morris Byrd (Robert), Jennifer Morris Lane, & David Wayne Morris (Alison). Seven Grandchildren, Wesley Thomas Byrd (Amy), Virginia Byrd Troutman (Evan), Jensine Lane, Phillip Byrd, Daniel Byrd, Bethany Morris & Brody Morris. Seven great grandchildren, Noelle, Micah, Finley & Maverick Byrd, Brooklyn, Natalie & Rheagan Troutman, and several nieces and nephews.
She will be honored and remembered with a celebration of life on Sunday, May 3rd at Grace Baptist Church. 7171 Oak Ridge Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37931. Receiving of friends will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM with a service immediately following at 4:00 PM. Graveside will be Monday, May 4th at 11:00 AM at Oak Ridge Memorial Gardens.
